An honest look at Hebrews 10:25 and John 4, for believers who worship online by necessity or by circumstance.
Jesus said this to a woman raising a location question. Her people worshipped on one mountain, His on another. He answered that the decisive issue is not the place but the worshipper: in spirit and in truth.
That does not make gathering optional. Hebrews 10:25 plainly warns against forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, and it gives the reason: exhorting one another. Christians are meant to be known, encouraged, and accountable to real people.
Both truths can be held honestly. Worship online is genuine worship when the heart is genuine. And an online believer still needs real fellowship, real accountability, and real people who know their name.
So if distance, health, work, persecution, or a painful past keeps you from a local gathering, worship here without shame. And let us help you build genuine fellowship, whether online with us or with a faithful local church near you. We are glad to help you find one.
Father, You seek worshippers in spirit and in truth. Receive my worship wherever I am, and lead me into genuine fellowship with Your people. Amen.
