Scripture Promises

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16 (KJV)

God's love is not a feeling He announced; it is a Son He gave. Before you cleaned yourself up, before you understood doctrine, He had already moved toward you.

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.”

1 John 4:9-10 (KJV)

Love began on God's side. That is why no one has to clean themselves up before coming to Him.

“For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, … shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39 (KJV)

Circumstances change and seasons of weakness come. The love of God in Christ is not on the list of things that can cut you off.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

Matthew 11:28 (KJV)

The invitation is to come, not to first become. Bring the labour and the load with you.

“It is of the LORD's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.”

Lamentations 3:22-23 (KJV)

Yesterday's failure did not exhaust God's supply. Mercy is issued fresh each morning to those who will receive it.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 1:9 (KJV)

Confession is not informing God of news. It is agreeing with Him about what He already sees, so that cleansing can begin.

“He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. … As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.”

Psalm 103:10-12 (KJV)

East and west never meet. That is the distance God places between a forgiven person and their forgiven sin.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.”

Titus 3:5 (KJV)

Mercy, not merit, is the ground we stand on. That keeps the humble hopeful and the proud honest.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

Seeking first is a matter of order, not of intensity alone. Put God's kingdom in the first place and let Him arrange the rest.

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 (KJV)

The exchange at the cross is the heart of the gospel: He took what was ours so that we could receive what is His.

“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”

Micah 6:8 (KJV)

Justice, mercy, and humility are not extras for the advanced. They are the ordinary shape of a life walking with God.

“There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.”

Romans 8:1 (KJV)

Conviction draws you toward God; condemnation drives you away from Him. In Christ, the second has no legal claim on you.

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV)

A day of accounting gives weight to ordinary days. What is done quietly now is neither lost nor overlooked.

“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.”

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 (KJV)

Nothing is merely private before God. That is sobering for the careless and deeply comforting for the wronged.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment.”

Hebrews 9:27 (KJV)

Scripture never treats death as the end of the story. It is the doorway to an accounting, which is why today matters.

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”

The delay some mistake for absence is patience. It is room given for repentance.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.”

Repentance is not punishment; it is the road to refreshing. Blotting out comes first, then the seasons of renewal.

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”

Four actions, three promises. Humility and turning are the parts God asks of us; hearing, forgiving, and healing are His.

“I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance.”

Luke 15:7 (KJV)

Heaven's response to a returning sinner is joy, not reluctance. Expect welcome, not a lecture.

“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.”

Isaiah 1:18 (KJV)

God invites reasoning, not hiding. He names the stain honestly and still promises to remove it completely.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.”

Romans 10:9 (KJV)

Confession with the mouth and faith in the heart. Salvation is stated so plainly that no one needs a middleman to understand it.

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)

A gift cannot be earned without ceasing to be a gift. Works follow salvation as fruit; they do not purchase it.

“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Revelation 3:20 (KJV)

He knocks; He does not break in. The handle on that door is on your side, and today it can be opened.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

John 14:6 (KJV)

Christ does not offer a route among many; He presents Himself as the way. That is a claim worth weighing honestly.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:6-7 (KJV)

The exchange offered here is anxiety for peace, not anxiety for guaranteed outcomes. The peace comes while you wait.

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

James 5:16 (KJV)

Praying for one another is not a small courtesy. Scripture treats it as a means God genuinely uses.

“Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Jeremiah 29:12-13 (KJV)

Whole-hearted searching is promised a finding. Half-hearted curiosity rarely reaches the same place.

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”

1 Peter 5:7 (KJV)

The reason given for casting your care is not that the care is trivial, but that He cares for you.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”

Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

Two convictions are named: that God is, and that seeking Him is not wasted. This verse is the heartbeat of this ministry.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Four promises answer two fears. God's reply to dread is His own presence, strength, help, and grip.

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”

Proverbs 3:5-6 (KJV)

Understanding is not forbidden; leaning your whole weight on it is. Acknowledge Him in the ordinary ways and direction follows.

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”

Isaiah 40:31 (KJV)

Waiting is not wasted time in God's economy. It is where strength is exchanged.

“He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.”

Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV)

Dwelling, not visiting, is the condition. Those who make God their habitation find that He is also their defence.

“The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.”

Psalm 121:7-8 (KJV)

Goings out and comings in cover travel, work, and homecoming. This is a prayer for the whole ordinary day.

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD.”

Isaiah 54:17 (KJV)

Weapons may be formed; the promise is that they shall not prosper. This is a heritage for servants, not a charm for the careless.

“For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.”

Psalm 91:11 (KJV)

God's care is active and assigned. He commits keeping to His messengers over those who walk in His ways.

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.”

Deuteronomy 28:2 (KJV)

Blessing here is tied to hearkening. Obedience is not a payment; it is the posture in which God's goodness finds us.

“The LORD bless thee, and keep thee: The LORD make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.”

Numbers 6:24-26 (KJV)

The oldest blessing in Scripture asks for God's face, not merely His gifts. Peace follows His presence.

“And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us; yea, the work of our hands establish thou it.”

Psalm 90:17 (KJV)

A fitting prayer over a business, a trade, a farm, or a course of study. Ask God to establish what your hands are doing.

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”

Philippians 4:19 (KJV)

The measure is His riches, and the promise is need supplied. Scripture is careful here, and so should we be.

“The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles.”

Psalm 34:17 (KJV)

Crying out is not weakness or a lack of faith. It is the appointed way trouble is brought before God.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7 (KJV)

The order matters. Submission to God comes first; resistance without surrender is a fight in our own strength.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Luke 10:19 (KJV)

Authority in Christ is given, not generated. It is exercised in His name and under His Lordship.

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.”

Psalm 107:20 (KJV)

God's word is His instrument of healing and rescue. Filling your heart with it is not a passive activity.

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 6:23 (KJV)

Wages are earned; gifts are received. The whole difference between death and life sits in those two words.

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.”

John 10:28 (KJV)

The security of the believer rests on the strength of His hand, not the steadiness of ours.

“These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life.”

Assurance is meant to be known, not merely hoped for. God wrote so that His children could be certain.

“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die.”

Christ answers grief with a person, not a theory. He is the resurrection before He does any resurrecting.
