Scripture ties blessing to obedience without turning God into a vending machine. Holding both truths is the whole skill.
Scripture does connect obedience and blessing. Deuteronomy says blessings shall overtake those who hearken to the voice of the Lord. That is a real pattern, and pretending otherwise is not humility.
But the same Scripture shows righteous people in poverty, in prison, and in pain. Job was blameless. Paul was faithful and often hungry. So the connection is real without being mechanical, and anyone who promises otherwise has gone beyond the text.
The healthiest posture is to serve God because He is worthy, and to ask openly for His hand on the work of ours. Psalm 90 does exactly that, praying for God to establish the work of our hands.
So work honestly. Pray over your business, your job, your farm, your studies. Ask God to establish it, and leave the measure of the harvest with Him.
